True! How to have more children if more Singaporeans are single? But I guess another reason is imbalanced work life, Singaporeans worked very hard and many do not have time to find partners or date, yet we are still continuosly pressured to increase productivity. If we are working from 9am-8pm daily and have already used the latest technology available in the company to complete our work, how else to increase our productivity if not by further extending our working hours? If we are working so hard everyday Mon-Fri, where will we have the energy to socialise on the weekends? Yes, we can go to dating agencies to find a partner but that is only the first step, more time is needed to build and nurture a relationship. Maybe someone can create a chart to show the correlation between length of working hours and marital status by comparing those same countries above? :)
