I’m a Gen-Y, single female, Singaporean Teochew, with some Peranakan ancestory, although I know , let alone practise, very little about the traditional culture of both. Fom my personal interpretation of Christianity, which is one of love and justice, I support the rights of homosexuals/bisexuals/trangenders, women, children, disadvantaged people, animals. I’m pro-religious-freedom, pro-choice, pro-contraceptives, pro-ES-cell research.

My educational background is in the area of stem cell/developmental biology (sex determination/skeletal development)/genetics/molecular & cell biology/technology development/ etc, for which I’ve just completed my PhD requirements (yes the project spanned all these fields.)

If you ask me what I AM (in the professional context), I would best call myself a Hedonistic Systems Voyeur. I love observing and analysing systems — in biology, in society, in theology etc etc. In my spare time, I also do advocacy work, policy work, public education, and attend theological college classes
